BACKLAND BLUES by Waydown Wailers Release Date: June 15, 2018 Waydown Wailers come from the backland of The New York Canadian Border. Brothers David Parker, Christian Parker with Connor Pelkey and Mike Scriminger have performed together for years. Waydown Wailers music has been described by critics and radio as Blues to Swamp Rock to Americana. Backland Blues is boldly original and tunefully deep. David Parker, Christian Parker and Mike Scriminger wrote eight of the eleven songs with two classics “Done Somebody Wrong” by Elmore James and the great hit “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” by Larry Williams and a favorite of Byrd fans, Lover of The Bayou. David Parker handles the lead vocals/lead guitar with Christian Parker on rhythm and lead guitar adding the necessary musical lines as Mike Scriminger lays down hypnotic beats with Connors’ melodic bass playing making each song special. The group is joined by musical guests keyboardist Professor Louie & vocalist Miss Marie. Backland Blues is Waydown Wailers third release on Woodstock Records. Produced by Aaron L.
